For a few months now I have had the great honor to work along side one of the biggest and best BMW M Fourms around. I am talking of course about MFEST. I have been given the honor to put together this years MIX for the annual event in Las Vegas known as MEFEST VI. The mix will be coming soon for download and will be a jam packed Electronic Dance Music mix to get you amped on your way to Mfest or whenenver you want to get amped for any reason lol. So please look out for it in March, as that is the TBA release date. More info coming soon.

Cars & Coffee Irvine

I went to my second Cars and Coffee Irvine meet early this month and as always it was a fun event. Definitely a must if your a car enthusiast. While I was browsing the C&C Irvine forum section for pics, to my surprise one of the photographers snapped a picture of my car and posted it. =) (I’m the white M3 on the left)

New Years Party

New years was a lot of fun got to guest DJ at my friends party and hang out with some old friends. Then went over to my Dad’s place for a delicious homemade New Years brunch. A good start to the new year.

2012! wow it’s here already. This year I feel like I should finally stick to my resolutions because passed resolutions were never even close to being kept haha. One of my resolutions is to be more focused on my dream, the DJ TY dream. Part of it is to keep updated more often socially via blog and social media outlets. Kind of old news but wanted to post anyhow. I wanted to make a Deadmau5 head for Halloween, so after reading many DIY methods I settled on one but had to do a lot of my own improvising. Needless to say I am very happy with the turn out!

A New “DAW” A New Day

So your probably asking your self what the hell is a DAW haha. Well in the music world it stands for Digital Audio Workstation. It’s basically a program that encompasses all the tools of a Recording studio but makes it a little less expensive and virtual for the home studio user or professional. I was using Fl Studio before, which was great except for the fact that my computer got a nasty virus and wouldn’t even open FL Studio anymore. at that time I was considering moving to a whole new DAW but since I was familiar with FL Studio I was not to keen on learning a new program all over again. So as my music was on hold for a while I did some research and thinking and came to the conclusion that I would go ahead and start over with a new DAW. This time around I picked up Logic Pro 9 for MAC instead of the PC like FL Studio was. It was a whole new ball game now, more presets, more options, and not to mention a more complex and non user friendly layout and construction. I will admit I thought to myself, “what did I get myself into,” it was tough and well, still is tough but I am slowly learning. Third party synths, drum kits etc etc. are not as available for logic as it is with FL Studio but still there is a lot of third party soft synths and kits out there. I see this as a challenge and a hurtle I need to overcome to be a better producer.

Long time no Blog

I know its been awhile since I had last posted on the blog but recently life has been a tornado of busyness. From overtime at work to moving to a new place, things have been put on hold for a bit including the blog. Well without much delay I would like to say I am back! and I thank those that still continued to check out my blog despite it not being updated. I will try to keep up with the blog now that things have settled down…for now.
